Abstract: Poly(triphenylamine--phenylenevinylene)s with two different end-groups were obtained through a WittigUltraviolet and visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) and photoluminescence (PL) spectra show the end-cappedpolymer emits intensive green light in both solution and film state.nitro compounds were investigated, and the results show high fluorescence quenching sensitivity of the end-cappedpolymer towards -nitrotoluene (-NT).

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2019, Volume 13, Issue 3,   Pages 563-573 doi: 10.1007/s11705-018-1784-x

Abstract: Octavinyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) was polymerized on the surface of Fe O nanoparticles (NPs) and then the NPs were functionalized with carboxylic acid groups using thiol-ene click reactions with thioglycolic acid. The as-prepared Fe O @POSS-COOH magnetic hybrid NPs had mesoporous structures with an average particle diameter of 15 nm and a relatively high specific surface area of 447 m ∙g . Experimental results showed that 4 mg of Fe O @POSS-COOH NPs efficiently adsorbed and removed methylene blue from water at 5 min. This is due to the presence of both carboxylic acid and pendant vinyl groups on the Fe O @POSS-COOH NPs. These NPs could be easily withdrawn from water within a few seconds under moderate magnetic field and showed high stability in acid and alkaline aqueous mediums.

Efficient decoding self-attention for end-to-end speech synthesis Research Article

Wei ZHAO, Li XU

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 7,   Pages 1127-1138 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100501

Abstract: has been innovatively applied to text-to-speech (TTS) because of its parallel structure and superior strength in modeling sequential data. However, when used in with an autoregressive decoding scheme, its inference speed becomes relatively low due to the quadratic complexity in sequence length. This problem becomes particularly severe on devices without graphics processing units (GPUs). To alleviate the dilemma, we propose an (EDSA) module as an alternative. Combined with a dynamic programming decoding procedure, TTS model inference can be effectively accelerated to have a linear computation complexity. We conduct studies on Mandarin and English datasets and find that our proposed model with EDSA can achieve 720% and 50% higher inference speed on the central processing unit (CPU) and GPU respectively, with almost the same performance. Thus, this method may make the deployment of such models easier when there are limited GPU resources. In addition, our model may perform better than the baseline Transformer TTS on out-of-domain utterances.

Construction of interfacial dynamic bonds for high performance lignin/polymer biocomposites

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2023, Volume 17, Issue 10,   Pages 1372-1388 doi: 10.1007/s11705-023-2302-3

Abstract: The development of lignin/polymer biocomposites can promote the high value utilization of lignin andHowever, the weak interfacial interaction between industrial lignin and polymer induces poor compatibilityand serious agglomeration in polymer owing to the strong intermolecular force of lignin. As such, it is extremely difficult to prepare high performance lignin/polymer biocomposites. The lignin-modified polymer composites achieved simultaneously enhanced strength and toughness.

An end-to-end 3d seismic simulation of underground structures due to point dislocation source by using

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2022, Volume 16, Issue 12,   Pages 1515-1529 doi: 10.1007/s11709-022-0887-0

Abstract: Based on the domain reduction idea and artificial boundary substructure method, this paper proposes an FK-FEM hybrid approach by integrating the advantages of FK and FEM (i.e., FK can efficiently generate high-frequency three translational motion, while FEM has rich elements types and constitutive models). An advantage of this approach is that it realizes the entire process simulation from point dislocation source to underground structure. Compared with the plane wave field input method, the FK-FEM hybrid approach can reflect the spatial variability of seismic motion and the influence of source and propagation path. This approach can provide an effective solution for seismic analysis of underground structures under scenario of earthquake in regions where strong earthquakes may occur but are not recorded, especially when active faults, crustal, and soil parameters are available. Taking Daikai subway station as an example, the seismic response of the underground structure is simulated after verifying the correctness of the approach and the effects of crustal velocity structure and source parameters on the seismic response of Daikai station are discussed. In this example, the influence of velocity structure on the maximum interlayer displacement angle of underground structure is 96.5% and the change of source parameters can lead to the change of structural failure direction.
